This vibrantly illustrated children’s book offers a clear and accessible introduction to the concept of gender for readers aged 4 and older. It uses straightforward language to explain and discuss experiences of gender, including aspects such as our bodies, self-expression, and identity.

An interactive three-layered wheel is included within the book. This wheel serves as an effective visual tool with 2 sections. to distinguish between physical characteristics, personal expression through clothing and hobbies, and then gender identity. It is a fun way to teach the basics.

This book is suitable for use in educational, therapeutic or home settings. It also features a brief guide for adults on the back cover. This section provides additional explanation of key concepts and suggests useful discussion points to facilitate meaningful conversations around gender.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
