"This was a comforting process because as i was making the character, i thought about my journey of embracing my physical differences (such as my scars, size, energy etc.) and how far ive come in being comfortable in my own body, and i encourage others to reflect on how beautiful human appearance can be. i often go online as i make artwork to search for reference images and i will see people with acne, vitiligo, scars, facial differences, missing limbs, mobility aids and more and i really take the time to appreciate how beautiful it is that we are all different"

Flags.jpg

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
