This week is Trans History Week — a time to honour the legacy, resilience, and activism of trans people throughout history.

From the early trailblazers who fought for visibility and rights, to the everyday heroes who continue to shape culture and community today, trans history is powerful, intersectional, and ongoing.

Let’s uplift trans voices, learn from the past, and commit to a future of equity and inclusion.

Trans history is history. Let’s remember it, celebrate it, and carry it forward.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
