The 8 C’s of IFS


One of the beliefs of IFS Therapy is that we all have a “Self”.

When we are in Self-energy we experience the 8 C’s of IFS.


CALM

Serenity regardless of circumstances.

The ability to react to triggering situations mindfully.


CLARITY

The ability to see things for what they are. Where your perception is unclouded and clear.


CURIOSITY

A sense of openness to new possibilities. To have a sense of wonder about the world.


COMPASSION

Being openhearted, present, and appreciative. The ability to be with and turn toward oneself with kindness.


CONFIDENCE

The ability to stay fully present in a situation and effectively handle anything that happens.


COURAGE

Having the strength to face difficult situations. The ability to face struggles head on.


CREATIVITY

A flow state, where your imagination is capable of producing ideas and expression spontaneously.


CONNECTEDNESS

Feeling connected to your mind, heart and body. Sensing you are part of a community and the world.
