“I decided to do a traditional landscape, presented in a way that is completely different depending on how you physically approach the work. For abled folk, they may not see the clouds as dark because they view the image square on and standing, but from a wheelchair the clouds are more impactful. I also used acrylic medium to create tactile cues for people with visual impairments. The goal is to challenge the viewer to engage with the work from multiple perspectives as an exercise in empathy.”

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
