Past, Present and Future

"This was an exercise, trying to give form to concepts of my past, present and future. While the future seems to contain the hope of freedom, I must admit that it is very difficult to actually convince myself such a future is possible. If it IS attainable, it appears there is a step missing, a yawning chasm between my present and such a future. An almost impassable fissure that the shackled present has yet to find mechanisms with which to navigate such crossing. Some small hope, indeed. This next self-portrait perhaps explicates somewhat the arduous task before me. Wish me luck."

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
