I stopped sucking my thumb at 10 and pretty much went straight into skin picking. First it was psoriasis, then acne, then cuticles.

Now I make my own picky pads!

Moulds found here: https://amzn.to/45F6ug6

Silicone found here: https://amzn.to/4kX42Gt

It might sound expensive, but 10 picky pads only use about a third of the silicone. You could also use an ice cube tray or something similar instead of moulds to save money.

Once I’ve picked everything out of the silicone, I recycle them by stuffing the silicone into paper squishes, and everything else goes back into fresh picky pads.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
