September is Bisexual Visibility Month!

This month is all about celebrating bisexual identities, relationships, and community.

From September 16 to 23, we have Bisexual Awareness Week, which leads up to Celebrate Bisexuality Day on September 23.

This is also a good time to recognise the unique challenges that bisexual, pansexual, and other non-monosexual/monoromantic people face.

Bisexual erasure refers to the way bisexual identities can be ignored or overlooked, and many bisexual individuals experience discrimination both within and outside the LGBTQIA+ community.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
