Bisexual people have always been here!

This September, we celebrate Bisexual Awareness Week, running from September 16 to September 23, ending with Bi Visibility Day on September 23.

This week honours the resilience and pride of the bisexual community, challenging stereotypes and fostering understanding.

Bisexuality is an umbrella term that includes identities like pansexual, omnisexual, and queer.

Bisexual Awareness Week is about joy, connection, and love.

This is a time to reflect, listen, and make space for visibility, dignity, and future generations.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
