Autism Month

Writer's picture: Rae Sabine Rae Sabine

April is dedicated autism awareness and acceptance. While I strive to promote awareness and acceptance throughout the year, I still strongly urge everyone to dedicate time this April to enhance your knowledge about autism. Whether you are a new to learning or autistic yourself, there is always room to further our knowledge about the remarkable diversity of autism. Let’s also take this time to celebrate all the amazing autistic people in our lives!

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
