💜 Wear It Purple Day – Friday 29 August 2025 💜

Wear It Purple Day is an annual day of awareness and celebration held on the last Friday in August.

It is a time to stand with LGBTQIA+ young people and to remind them that they are seen, supported and valued for exactly who they are.

By choosing to wear purple, we take part in a collective act of visibility and solidarity.

It is a simple but powerful way to help create safer, more inclusive spaces where every young person feels a true sense of belonging.

Join us in celebrating and showing your support this Wear It Purple Day!

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
