This podcast posted a rage-bait clip about me to their TikTok, filled with transphobic comments that the hosts liked. They’ve since deleted the episode, but removing something doesn’t undo the harm. I trusted them with my story, and they turned it into a joke. I’m sharing this to warn others.

I spoke on the Othering Podcast sharing about being trans non-binary living with ankylosing spondylitis and what it means to move through the world in a body that is both political and in pain.

CW: I was misgendered in this episode, and the way it was handled may be triggering for members of the community. Misgendering—intentional or not—is still harmful and a microaggression. Sometimes, unintentional misgendering can hurt even more, especially when you believed you were in a safe space.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
