A GUIDE TO SETTING HEALTHY BOUNDARIES THESE HOLIDAYS

• Don’t say “yes” to please others or out of obligation

• Let people know if you are uncomfortable with a topic

• Give yourself permission to say “no” without an explanation

• Express your feelings in an assertive and respectful way

• Give yourself regular breaks when you feel you need them

• Delegate tasks instead of doing everything yourself

• Set clear expectations for visits, meals, or gatherings

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
