A Cathartic Experience

“This started because my ex was an art student, and when we lived together, she had a series of her paintings that all created one whole picture on smaller canvases. When we broke up, she took all of her art with her, which saddened me because I enjoyed looking at her art every day. This idea came to me because I wanted to replace that art with art done by my hands. While I’m not as good an artist as she is, this has become a cathartic experience.”

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
