World Vegan Day is 1 November

World Vegan Day is an opportunity to reflect on veganism, compassion and our relationships with animals.

Veganism is rooted in the belief that animals are sentient beings with their own lives, experiences and needs, rather than resources for us to use.

It is more than what we eat. It is an ongoing commitment to consider how our choices affect animals, people and the planet, and to move towards a world with less harm and exploitation.

Veganism doesn’t require perfection. It invites us to keep learning, questioning and making choices that align with our values.

World Vegan Day is an opportunity to celebrate animals, the people working towards a kinder world, and the growing vegan community.

Choose compassion.

Choose kindness.

Choose vegan.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
