Today is World Day of Social Justice.

Social justice is not just about treating everyone the same.

It is about recognising that people start from different places and making sure everyone has what they need to thrive.

That is what equity means.

Because one size does not fit all.

It includes addressing systemic barriers, listening to marginalised voices, and working towards fair access to health, education, safety, and opportunity.

Change does not happen overnight.

But it starts with awareness, compassion, and action in our communities, our workplaces, and our daily lives.

What does equity look like to you?

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
