Weird Pride Day is held each year on 4 March.

In 2026, the theme is Weird Pride in a Hostile World.

Weird Pride is about celebrating what makes us wonderfully strange and resisting a world that too often demands conformity.

In a time when difference is policed, marginalised, or rejected, being weird is an act of courage.

And an act of joy!

Let’s honour our individuality, our communities, and our creative defiance.

The things that have been called weird in us are often the very things that hold imagination, integrity, and possibility.

Weirdness is diversity.

Weirdness is resilience.

Weirdness is love.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
