November is Transgender Pride Month 🏳️‍⚧️

A time to celebrate trans lives, voices, love and joy.

It’s an opportunity to honour the diversity, creativity and strength of transgender communities.

Transgender people deserve to feel safe, respected and supported to be themselves, in all their beautiful diversity.

Being transgender is not something that needs to be fixed or explained. Everyone deserves the freedom to explore their identity, express themselves and live authentically.

This month, we celebrate transgender joy, visibility, community and the right to self-determination.

We also recognise the importance of listening to transgender voices and creating spaces where trans people feel safe, valued and that they belong.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
