Creating a family can look different for everyone, and for LGBTQ+ people there are often additional legal, medical, financial and social considerations along the way.

Events like this can provide an opportunity to hear from people with lived experience, ask questions, and connect with others navigating similar journeys.

Jewmos, Kehilat Nitzan and the Australia Jewish Fertility Network are hosting a free Sunday brunch panel exploring pathways to building LGBTQ+ Jewish families.

Topics include IVF, Australian and international surrogacy, funding options, medical pathways, Jewish law (Halacha), legal considerations and lived experience.

The morning also includes brunch, children’s activities and time for community connection.

The event is open to queer parents, intended parents, and anyone interested in learning more.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
