March 16 to 22, 2026 is Neurodiversity Celebration Week.

Neurodiversity recognises that there is no single “right” way for a brain to think, learn, communicate or experience the world.

Autistic people, ADHDers, dyslexic thinkers and many other neurodivergent people bring valuable perspectives, creativity and ways of understanding the world around them.

Celebrating neurodiversity means recognising both the strengths and the support needs that can come with different neurotypes.

It also means creating environments where access, accommodation and inclusion are expected rather than exceptional.

When neurodivergent people are understood and supported, everyone benefits.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
