International Women's Day

“Rae prompted me to contemplate my personal journey of womanhood over the course of my life. As a therapist who identifies with the gender I was assigned at birth, I am eager to acquire knowledge on how to support and validate transgender and gender diverse individuals.

During my childhood, I vividly recall perceiving cats as exclusively girls, and associating everything pink with myself. Throughout my teenage years, I developed a fondness for leopard print and roller skating. Now, as an adult, I feel a sense of belonging in women’s sewing circles.

Engaging in this introspective process has allowed me to gain valuable insights and a deeper understanding of my own encounters with gender. It has become increasingly significant to me to acknowledge and respect each individual’s unique path towards self-affirmation.”

Flags.jpg

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations.

I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land.

I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
