International Day of Persons with Disabilities is every year on December 3.

This day celebrates the achievements, creativity, and leadership of disabled people around the world while calling for stronger action to remove barriers and create inclusive communities.

The 2025 theme, “Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress,” reminds us that inclusion benefits everyone.

When disabled people have equitable access, representation, and opportunity because nothing about us should be decided without us, communities thrive.

Let’s work together toward a future built on accessibility, respect, and belonging.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
