Breath of Space by Rae Sabine

I created this during an Expressive Arts Therapy Supervision course. It reflects the inner space a supervisor cultivates before entering the shared space of supervision.

The open centre and circling strokes became a reminder that my capacity to be present with another is shaped by the way I first attend to my own experience.

By practising presence, curiosity and compassion, I am better able to meet the supervisory relationship with steadiness and care.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land where I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was, always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

I celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, age groups, spiritual beliefs, physical abilities and disabilities.
